What's in a name?

As I have been sharing my excitement about our newly minted foundation with everybody I come in contact with, I keep being asked the same question, "So where does the name come from?". Happily, it is easy to explain.

It comes from a combination of three things.

First, it was inspired, just as the foundation was, by our first child, who's name is "Luna".

Second, when we began talking about establishing this organization it seemed like an almost impossible dream, a moonshot.

Finally, when you find yourself walking alone at night, it is the moon that lights your way. We hope our work will light the way for people who feel that they are walking alone in the darkness.
